Academic Projects
Coursework and applied projects from my Master of Data Analytics — spanning visualization, optimization, and operational analytics.
Back to Main Portfolio
Emergency Department Length-of-Stay Analytics
A full-stack analytics platform over 19 fiscal years of CIHI NACRS data — 10,685 aggregate records representing roughly 175.8 million emergency department visits. Frequency-weighted non-parametric testing across five pre-registered hypotheses identified inpatient access block as the dominant driver of length of stay (10.6 hours for admitted patients against 2.5 hours for non-admitted), alongside a 19-year volume forecast and an original resource-burden index. Built on a React and FastAPI stack and deployed to AWS EC2 through a Dockerised CI/CD pipeline.
Toronto Crime Indicators Analysis
An Agile-built analytics platform for exploring and visualizing crime data across Toronto — built with Python and Streamlit through disciplined TDD, refactoring, and sprint-based collaboration.
Advanced Data Visualization
Interactive dashboards and data visualizations built in Tableau Public — applying storytelling-with-data techniques to surface insight from complex datasets.
Prescriptive Analytics
Optimization models and prescriptive analytics solutions applying mathematical programming, simulation, and decision-optimization techniques to business problems.
Operational Analytics
Data-driven operational analysis and process optimization, applying statistical methods to improve efficiency, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
Case Study 3
End-to-end case study applying data analytics methodologies to a real-world business scenario — from data collection through to actionable insight.
Continuous Learning
These projects represent my academic journey in the Master of Data Analytics program at the University of Niagara Falls Canada. Each one demonstrates practical application of analytical techniques, programming, and problem-solving in real-world scenarios.
